An IT support company in Vancouver
What to look for in a Metro Vancouver IT company, and what we do differently enough to be worth a look.
There are somewhere between 150 and 300 IT support companies in Metro Vancouver. Most of them are competent. Choosing between them is difficult for a reason that has nothing to do with technical ability: almost none of them will tell you what they charge, what they do not do, or what happens when they miss a response time.
So rather than a page explaining that we are experienced and responsive, which every provider's website already says, here is what is actually checkable.
What we publish that most do not
Our prices. $199 a month flat for a one-person business. From $125 per user per month from two up, $175 for the fully managed plan, $225 with automation included. Out of scope work is $150 an hour. Onboarding is $750 to $1,500, once. It is all on the pricing section without a form in front of it.
What we are not. Not a penetration-testing firm. Not SOC 2 auditors. Not enterprise network engineers. Not lawyers. Those go to specialists we have vetted, and we coordinate the work rather than pretending. It is written on the about page rather than buried.
Our response times. Two business hours on the Complete plan, thirty minutes if you are down, same business day on Foundation. In the agreement, not on a banner.
The market rates. We published what managed IT costs in Metro Vancouver, including competitors' ranges, so you can tell whether any quote you hold is fair. Including ours.
How to compare any Vancouver IT company
Use this on us and on everybody else. None of it requires technical knowledge.
- When did you last restore one of our backups, and how long did it take?
- Who has administrator access to our tenant right now?
- What is your response time, and what happens when you miss it?
- What is explicitly out of scope, and what does it cost?
- What is the all-in monthly cost for our exact headcount?
- What is the term, and what do we get if we leave?
- What do you not do?
The full version, with scoring, is twelve questions to ask before you sign, and there is a free scorecard if you want to run it properly across three providers.
The useful signal is not the content of the answer. It is whether it arrives without checking. Every one of those is something a provider actively doing the work already knows.
Who we are a fit for
Businesses of roughly one to twenty five people across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Professional services, clinics, trades, engineering and architecture practices, and funded startups. See who we serve.
We work across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Coquitlam, Langley, New Westminster and Delta.
Who we are not a fit for
Businesses needing somebody physically on site most days. Companies past forty or fifty people, where an internal IT lead with an outside team behind them is a better shape. Anyone whose core system is specialist software we would be learning on your budget.
Saying so in week one is cheaper for everyone than discovering it in month three.
What we commit to, in writing
- One flat price per person, quoted before you sign
- Response times in the agreement, not implied
- Unlimited help desk, no per-ticket charges
- Month to month, with no long-term lock-in
- A written scope that says what is included and what is not
- Your systems documented, and the documentation is yours to take
